Meet Stewart Little! Stewart came to us after his owner no longer to care for him and his other dogs. We estimate him to be around 7 years old but he's got spunk like a puppy! Stewart weighs about 6 pounds and loves being a lap dog. He is a very quiet boy that doesn't like it when anyone 'fusses' at him or speaks to harshly. He will not bite, he will only cower and try and find a place to hide. His current foster home is building his confidence and he is coming out of his shell every day. He currently resides with two large dogs and has been with dogs his own size in the past; he does great with all dogs. I doubt he would pay much attention to a cat and has reacted well when exposed to his current foster home's ferrets. Stewart's ideal home would be a low-key house hold with another dog that will continue with his training. He enjoys laying in your lap and will sleep with you for as long as you'd like. He likes to take trips to the dog park and is doing well with his obedience training. He knows 'sit', 'down', 'watch me', and is working each day on walking better on the leash. Stewart is kept on a food schedule (high quality food fed once a day) and potty schedule and has yet to have an accident in his foster home. As long as his new home allows him to adjust to their schedule, he will do just fine. He is also crate trained but can also be trusted to stay out of his crate when no one is home.
Stewart has been neutered, is UTD on shots, heartworm negative, current on heartworm/flea prevention, and microchipped. An adoption fee of $175 is required. An adoption application must be completed and a home check will be done prior to placement.
