Maggie is a sweet girl who, unfortunately, tested heartworm positive when she was surrendered to our shelter. Maggie has since been through a full heartworm treatment, and she will soon be taking a 4-month follow up test to ensure that the heartworm are no longer in her system. She loves the attention of the staff and volunteers at the shelter, but does like to be the dominant personality with her kennel mates when playing indoors. Maggie deserves to spend the rest of her life with a great family that will appreciate her for the great companion she is. All dogs are evaluated by our trainer. Dogs over 6 months are tested for heartworms and treated if positive. Any other health problems are treated. Dogs are kept on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. All dogs are already spayed or neutered, de-wormed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. They typically share a kennel with another dog (depending on size and temperament), and usually go outside several times a day with a play group. Our dog adoption fee is $125-175.
